Sonia Montellano

Sonia Montellano is the Director of Contracts and Program Control, and oversees all Contracting, Pricing and Finance functions for SandTech. She is responsible for minimizing risk, maximizing profitability, establishing and maintaining efficient financial operations, and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations and applicable laws. She has over 25 years of experience in government contracting, pricing and finance.

Prior to SandTech, Sonia was the head of the contracts departments for three small local defense contractors (Metica, dNovus RDI and Diligent Consulting) driving successful performance for each company. During her tenure at Diligent, Sonia priced $982M in proposals and sixteen IDIQs in addition to overseeing the company’s contracts, subcontracts and procurement activities. Sonia also supported ten DCMA/DCAA audits securing favorable results for the company and created the company’s first Project Manager Financial Training course. Prior to Diligent, Sonia was a Principal Contracts Administrator for NCI Inc., responsible for the full range of cradle-to-grave, lifecycle contract administration for the company’s NETCENTS IDIQ contract.

Sonia attended Rice University and is a member of the Alamo Chapter of NCMA.
