SandTech Solutions Names Sonia Montellano as Chief Financial Officer

SandTech Solutions has officially appointed Sonia Montellano as our Chief Financial Officer. Effective January 1, 2024, Sonia has taken over the role of CFO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. With her extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning, we are confident in Sonia’s ability to lead our finance & accounting team and drive our company’s financial success.

Sonia has served SandTech for almost 7 years in the role of VP of Finance and Contracts. Sonia oversees all Contracting, Pricing, Finance, and Accounting functions for SandTech. She is responsible for minimizing risk, maximizing profitability, establishing and maintaining efficient financial operations, and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations and applicable laws. She has over 25 years of experience in government contracting, pricing and finance.

Prior to her time at SandTech, Sonia was the head of the contracts departments for three small local defense contractors (Metica, dNovus RDI, and Diligent Consulting) driving successful performance for each company. During her tenure at Diligent, Sonia priced $982M in proposals and sixteen IDIQs in addition to overseeing the company’s contracts, subcontracts and procurement activities. Sonia also supported ten DCMA/DCAA audits securing favorable results for the company and created the company’s first Project Manager Financial Training course. Prior to Diligent, Sonia was a Principal Contracts Administrator for NCI Inc., responsible for the full range of cradle-to-grave, lifecycle contract administration for the company’s NETCENTS IDIQ contract. Sonia attended Rice University and is a member of the Alamo Chapter of NCMA.

Sonia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position. Her strong leadership skills and dedication to excellence make her a valuable addition to the role of CFO.
